Buying a home can be an overwhelming process. From financing to negotiating to closing, there are a lot of moving pieces that can leave homebuyers bewildered.
Having a great team matters, it starts with having a great real estate agent, like myself! I can help guide you through each step of the buying process, offering sound advice along the way. Lenders
Providing you with some great lender contacts, the next building block of your team. These are contacts who can help you get you pre-approved for your mortgage loan. By providing your chosen lender with some basic information about your income, savings, and debt, they can assist you in getting pre-approved. Your lender will then go over your financing options, what monthly payment amount you can afford, and what you can expect for down payment requirements and closing costs.
Choosing a home
For most buyers, choosing a home is a big undertaking. As your agent I can assist you in this process by setting up an online portal that will send you the latest listing information from our local multiple listing service. From those listing I can provide you with objective information about each property you look at. From local community information like schools and zoning to home-specific details like condition and amenities. As your agent I will help you find exactly what you’re looking for.
Making an offer
Once you’ve found the home of your dreams, I will research recent comparable sales of similar homes in the area to help determine a fair selling price. Then based on my 40 years experience in Bend and those comparable sales, as well as other factors like inspections and repairs, I will then help you structure an offer and negotiate to get the very best deal possible.
Closing
Closing, or settlement, can be a complicated process. In Bend and the rest of Central Oregon, the escrow/title company handles the closing process. The title officer and their staff are another building block of your team. My job with them is to provide information pertinent to the transaction and to ensure that everything goes smoothly.
